There’s always a suspicious whiff of trouble when movies change release dates, though lately it’s been due to pandemic issues more than anything else. Yet Dwayne Johnson’s Last Movies Animated Family Adventure DC League of Super Pets and the large scale black adam seemed to be on the right track. Now, however, the star has hit social media to announce that she will be moving out later in 2022.
Johnson (you can find his Instagram post below) gave no reason for the change, but we now know that Warner Bros. makes changes to his release planto hit the flash and James Wan Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom reduce schedule due to Covid delays.
Once scheduled for November 4, the film directed by Andy Muschietti the flash is closed on June 23, 2023. The Aquaman The sequel, meanwhile, will apparently be ready sooner than that, dropping from December 16 this year to March 17 in 2023.
Shazam! Fury of the gods enjoy all of this, advanced from a scheduled release of June 2, 2023 to December 12 of this year.
Super Animals, of course, finds Johnson, Kevin Hart, John Krasinski and more lending their voices to the story of Superman’s canine best friend, Krypto, who must work with a group of shelter animals with unusual powers to save the Justice League. The movie takes over black adamoriginal date of July 29.
black adammeanwhile, sees The Rock playing an anti-hero of the Shazam comic book stories, a mighty warrior whose idea of justice doesn’t always match those around him. That film will now move to October 21, which, as Johnson says in his video, will let it play during Halloween and the holidays. With the flash out of that area he has a clearer shot.
In non-superhero news, the Chocolate Factory prequel pic Wonkawith Timothée Chalamet, is postponed from March 2023 to December 15 of the same year, while the sequel to the giant shark Meg 2: The Trench obtains a place on August 4, 2023.
